How to display the markets available on MetaTrader 4

Once you are connected to your MetaTrader 4 trading platform, you have access to many instruments available on the financial markets such as shares from stock markets, currency pairs from the forex market, and commodities from the commodity market!

How to display the markets available on MetaTrader 4

  • Click on the "Market Watch" shortcut located at the top left of your MT4 forex platform

The "Market Watch" window will then open on the left side of your forex platform. In this window, you can find several assets from different markets, which are available on an Admiral Markets trading account:

  • Currency pairs on the foreign exchange market (forex) on MetaTrader:
  • The Euro against the US Dollar – EURUSD
  • The British Pound against the US Dollar – GBPUSD
  • The Japanese Yen against the US Dollar – USDJPY
  • All major forex pairs
  • 24 minor forex pairs
  • 29 exotic forex pairs
  • Stock market indexes on MT4:
  • The German stock market index – DAX 30
  • The French stock market index – CAC 40
  • The American stock market index – Dow Jones 30 (DJI30)

  • 3 futures stock market indexes

How to display all assets on MetaTrader 4?

In order to see all the assets available on an Admiral Markets trading account in the "Market Watch" window, you need to:

  • Right-click anywhere in the "Market Watch" window
  • Select "Show All"

Thus, all assets available on the MT4 Admiral Markets platform appear. To remove them, you just need to follow the previous manipulation, and click on "Hide All" instead of "Show All".

In case you want only to add some assets, it is possible to individually choose your favorite markets and assets as follows:

  • 1.Right-click anywhere in the "Market Watch" window
  • 2.Select "Symbols"
  • 3.Choose the financial instrument you want
  • 4.Double-click on it or select it and click on "Show"

The instrument will then be added to the list of assets in the "Market Watch" window. It is then easy to display the chart of an asset present in this window:

  • 1.Right-click on the asset you want (DAX 30 for example)
  • 2.Select "Chart Window"

The MT4 trading chart of the DAX 30 chart opens, and you can start trading.
